THE FAMOUS MONSTERS!!!

Ive had to edit this post as mick Atkins, sadly passed away yesterday (08/10/08).He`s the leather clad demon on the right of the monsters photo.
He was a good friend and a great guy,and will be sadly missed. He got me into Johnny Thunders and we went to see the dolls at the meltdown festival together.so mick,if theyve got the internet up in heaven, and your reading this"Look after yourself up there and when youre jamming with JT,Jerry,Arthur and Gio,an old version of Bad Girl wouldnt go amiss for us guys still hanging around down here!It was great knowing you!!Sweet Dreams old friend.we miss you!"
(original post:)
Ok,this one is interesting!!when you know people who are in a band, theyre just the guys you know that are in that band.but here we have what, in my somewhat biased opinion is what could have been the begining of something great!!the band were "THE FAMOUS MONSTERS".A london outfit with Giovanni de dommo (from the sniveling shits)on vocals,Tom crossley on guitar and vocals(from the phobics). Also on vocals we have none other that patti palladin (from snatch, the rituals and with our very own Johnny Thunders).on lead guitar we have Mick Atkins (ex waisted youth guitarist) and on drums we have Andy Scott(ex waisted youth and one time hawkwind drummer),(also Topper Headon from the clash played some drums with them but i`m not sure if its Topper or Andy playing the drums on these demos.)and last but by no means least Paul Toal (ex urban clearway and one time member of the moores,a band that were infamous yet never played a gig). These demos i got from mick the guitarist(who gets a mention in Nina Antonias book about peter perret,as perret produced some of waisted youths stuff).(i`m not sure who`s playing sax on the demos)the band met with the usual ill fate that bands of its calaber are predisposed to(death, drug adiction, and all the trimmings that go with it).so to say that these recordings are rare is an understatment. The band never released any material!!These demos, and maybe one or two live recordings that are in the band members possesion are all that exist to prove that this band ever was,bar the half crazed rememberings of anyone who have the pleasure of seeing the band at one of their rare live performances back in the day.Anyway,i asked Tom if he`d mind if i gave anybody copies and he said that it was fine by him,so here you are my lovelys. For your listening pleasure, and for the first time ever, may i present to you the masterpiece that is "The Famous Monsters only surviving studio recordings".These really are too goodnot to be listened to my lovers of good music everywhere.Rock N Roll was meant to sound like this!enjoy!!!!!!

i`ve re-uploaded this one too!!
